Private lessons are designed for students of all ages, from children to adults, who wish to:

  • learn Italian through a personalized learning path

  • prepare for travel to Italy

  • improve their conversational skills

  • prepare for the Italian citizenship exam (PLIDA)

  • study Italian for professional or academic purposes

  • review or supplement content from previously attended courses

FAQs

What are private lessons?

Private lessons are personalized Italian language programs, offered individually or in small groups, and designed according to each student’s specific needs.

 

How much does a private lesson cost?

A 60‑minute individual lesson costs $75. Discounted lesson packages of 5 or 10 sessions are available.

 

How do I enroll?

Simply complete the request form on our website. A coordinator will contact you within 48 business hours.

 

Can I choose my instructor?

You may indicate a preferred instructor. We will do our best to accommodate your request based on teacher availability.

 

Are the lessons online or in person?

Lessons are conducted online via Zoom.

 

Can I take lessons with a friend or family member?

Yes. We offer semi‑private lessons for two students and private mini‑groups for up to three participants. For groups of four or more, we offer in-person and online classes throughout the year, More information is available here: link for in-person classes and link for online classes.

 

What levels are available?

Lessons are offered from absolute beginner to advanced levels.

 

Can I prepare for the PLIDA exam with a private instructor?

Yes. We have teachers specialized in PLIDA exam preparation.

 

What happens if I need to cancel a lesson?

Student Cancellation Policy

 

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance:
    The lesson may be rescheduled at no additional cost.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice:
    The lesson will be considered completed and cannot be rescheduled.

  • Missed lessons / no-shows:
    The lesson will be considered completed.

How long do I have to use my lesson package?

  • 5‑lesson packages must be completed within 3 months

  • 10‑lesson packages must be completed within 6 months

 

Can I continue after finishing my package?

Absolutely. You may purchase additional lesson packages and continue with the same instructor or choose a different instructor, depending on your preferences and availability.
