Società Dante Alighieri-Boston, Massachusetts is an authorized PLIDA Examination Center accredited to administer official PLIDA certification exams on behalf of the Società Dante Alighieri in Rome.
What is PLIDA?
PLIDA exams certify proficiency in Italian as a foreign language and test the ability to use the language at different proficiency levels, from level A1 to level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Written sections are graded by certified PLIDA examiners appointed by Dante-Global; the speaking exam is conducted by certified local examiners and reviewed according to PLIDA regulations.
When are the exams?
PLIDA examinations are offered twice a year, in May and November. Our first examination session will take place in May 2027. The official examination dates and schedule will be published as soon as they are announced by Dante Global.

How Can I Prepare?

A free Dante-Boston pre-registration form allows you to be notified as soon as registration opens for your preferred PLIDA examination session. Please note that submitting the form does not reserve an exam seat.
Once official registration begins, candidates who are still interested will receive instructions to complete payment and secure their place.
